Get Outside – Enjoy the Summer Sun at These Seattle Runs

Summer clouds have you feeling sea sluggish? Have no fear! We have a few recommendations to get your body moving as the weather turns brighter this month. One of the best ways to be active in the summer sun is by participating in a marathon or obstacle course. Whether you’re an avid runner or beginner, there’s a race for everyone with these upcoming Seattle events.

  • The Great Inflatable Race:Embrace your inner child by participating in the original all-inflatable fun run, the Great Inflatable Race. Its mission is simple, it’s all about movement and having fun. Head over to Issaquah on Saturday, July 27 at 9 a.m. for this bouncy obstacle course. And for an after-race snack, stop by our Issaquah Seafood Bar for a cup of chowder!

  • Capitol One Torchlight Run: Join Seafair, Capital One and Swedish for the annual Torchlight Run on Saturday, July 27 at 6 p.m. Starting and ending at the Seattle Center, the run will follow along the Torchlight Parade route on 4th Avenue. Bonus points if you dress up, the best costumes get awarded (we recommend a chowderhead)!

  • Seattle Low Tide Run: Ever had the dream of running along the seashore? Well now you can! This 3.5 mile beach course offers Puget Sound views, the ocean breeze and snacks at the end. Don’t miss this race of your dreams on Sunday, July 28 at Golden Gardens. Preregister for $25 or show up day of for $35 and get to racing!
